Arenatek approached Babylon to develop an online task management system that would streamline the software development process. The main requirement was the ability to manage software projects through an online interface; the options available should be able to reflect the software development life cycle. The different team members in a software development team should also be reflected by the ability to create users with different roles within projects.
Arenatek Task Manager
After detailed consultation and development, the Arenatek Task Manager was born. The Task Manager provides a whole host of functionality associated with software development projects and bug fixing.
Administrator(s) are in charge of creating project requests, which can then be approved to fully-working projects once the budget and resources become available. This project can then be taken through the whole life cycle of development, testing and deployment. Key roles in this project, such as Project Lead, Project Manager and Project User can be assigned on the fly.
Projects Contain Tasks
Tasks within a particular project can be assigned to users, and the team can keep updated with email notifications. Data or image files can be attached to tasks, while common project files can be kept in a project file store. Task statuses can be updated as the project progresses.
